of course it doesn't "always" work, but it worked for that track.

While that remix could've definitely been done *better*, I like it enough to have played it off and on since I picked it up, to mostly enthusiastic responses. That's saying a lot, since Massive Attack, in particular that album and song, is very dear to my heart, and I get really touchy when remixers fuck with beloved songs or tracks.......in any case, in my opinion, that retooling is worlds better than some of the attrocious remixes/boots that are floating around these days.....

as for whether something works or not, that, like all things of this nature, are highly relative.
