I am desperately looking for 2 tickets to Priceless.. I am very well aware that this is a tat bit too late and i won't probably have any luck finding and should have looked for it earlier. However, i had to deal with immigration BS and have to leave the country :( and decided that i am going to enjoy the time i have left here! Might as well.. Ola church goers, as you know we here at beat church have always been about showcasing up and coming artists to bring you the freshest sounds and give the much needed exposure to our people who deserve it. This Thursday is no exception as we bring to you Cumulus. A native of Santa Barbara, CA, Sam Fairweather aka Cumulus has been playing electronic music since 2002. He spent 3 years as a fundamental organizer of a series of Word of Mouth full moon parties in the mountains of SB. His favorite time to play is sunrise. His favorite bpm lies somewhere between 70 and 185 bpm, but almost always deep, psychedelic, layered, and heavy. He has been working on a selection of deep and moody beats of his own and is ready to deliver some cloudy and funky tunes for the church. By now you have come to know and trust us when we tell you "you gotta check this shit out"
So come check it as Cumulus throws down his audio offerings for the
church in a style that only the setting of beat church brings out. Kitty-D and myself will be throwing down our super eclectic audio alchemical offerings as usual. Black Rock City, NV – ‘Inevitability’ is usually a term incompetent economists wield indiscriminately and talented economists avoid at all costs. There is nothing inevitable about the moneyed economy—the single exception of course being the unequal distribution of wealth. However, the well-respected Life-Quality Economics Institute at False Profit, LLC, has just made an announcement that could change all that.

“Our Aural Economy division is reporting that, against all odds and predispositions, False Profit, LLC will once again be throwing a party on the Playa,” explained Jay Oberhelman, Director of the L-QE Institute. “We had to find a model for this kind of behavior.”

They are calling it ‘Tuesday Night Syndrome’, though it is now assumed that there are other inevitabilities in the field of life-quality economics. It has even been suggested that Priceless, False Profit’s annual campout may fit this model of inevitability.

“We believe it is a Pavlovian response to high-quality basslines,” remarked Lazlo Jamf, Chief Psychoanalyst at the Institute. “It has been verified that False Profit was recently exposed to very good beats, which may have triggered this conditioned reaction of throwing a Tuesday Night Party.”

Spokesperson for the company, Nevada Valentine, advised all participants in the life-quality economy to show up around 10pm at False Profit’s camp at 4:30 and Esplanade on Tuesday Night.

New breakbeat free 4 DLoad

What up all... This is my 1st track using Acid in combo with SF. All synth lines and bass lines done with Novation Xio. The break was built using Sound Forge. Final edit and mastering done with Sound Forge. I did notice after listening to it in the car, the levels are off in part of the track....not a big deal to change, so it should be fixed by tomorrow.

thanks to ember for the suggestions and urging to deal with this... what do you all think about the following, as a moderation policy for the breaks tribe:

- all event listings should go in, well, listings or they'll be deleted
- posts about new mixes or your own music releases are fine (we like music)
- this should all be at least vaguely related to breakbeat

i don't see why anyone would object to these changes, but i'll float the idea first before i go wildly deleting stuff. i don't mind a bit of moderation work if it encourages people to organize things better as time goes on.
